Nvidia (NVDA) Tops Earnings Views to Send Shares Higher, Analyst Still Downgrades to ‘Sell’ on Expectations Gaming Sales Will Fade
August 19, 2021 5:29 AM EDTShares of Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) are trading about 1% higher in pre-open Thursday after the chip giant reported better-than-expected Q2 results.
NVDA reported EPS of $1.04 on an adjusted basis to top the $1.01 expected from analysts. Sales for the quarter came in at $6.51 billion to beat the $6.33 billion consensus.
On a more negative note, Nvidias CMP - the chip unit - witnessed sales of $266 million, lower than the $400 million guided in the previous quarter.
