Innodata adds former NSA director Rogers to its board

Innodata Inc. (NASDAQ: INOD) has appointed retired Admiral Michael S. Rogers, former Director of the National Security Agency and Commander of U.S. Cyber Command, to its board of directors, effective immediately, according to a company statement.

Rogers served concurrently in both roles from 2014 to 2018 before retiring as a four-star Navy officer. During his tenure, he advised the President, Secretary of Defense, Director of National Intelligence, and congressional leaders on cyber threats. He was the first Information Warfare Community officer to achieve the rank of admiral in a Navy career spanning more than three decades.

Since retiring, Rogers has served as a senior advisor to the Brunswick Group and currently sits on the board of Science Applications International Corporation, a Fortune 500 defense technology provider.

"The security of artificial intelligence is now inseparable from the security of the nation," Rogers said in the statement. "What drew me to Innodata is a clear-eyed focus on the hardest and most important part of the AI challenge — data and evaluation."

Rogers joins two other recently appointed board members: retired General Richard D. Clarke, former Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command, and Daniel H. Callahan, a technology executive with experience at Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and IBM.

Innodata, a data engineering company focused on AI development services, launched a Federal Practice last fall aimed at U.S. government and defense-related missions. The company provides data engineering, model evaluation, and AI enablement services.
