Knightscope publishes field brief on licensed security agent role

Knightscope, Inc. (NASDAQ: KSCP) published a field brief titled "The Security Agent," the third in a series, ahead of its appearance at GSX 2026, the Global Security Exchange, scheduled for September 14–16, 2026, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

The document outlines five variations of a single licensed security role: unarmed, armed, embedded, augmented, and augmented field agent. According to the press release, each role operates under a three-part code requiring agents to own outcomes, serve as the human in the loop, and answer calls for response. The roles are designed to integrate with Knightscope's autonomous machines and its Mission Intelligence software platform.

The brief also addresses workforce compensation practices. Knightscope states that many of its agents hold equity in the company, receive full health benefits, and begin paid training on their first day.

Knightscope states it currently serves 434 clients across 42 states, and its machines have logged more than 4.4 million autonomous hours in the field.
