PLDT Home, the wireline and broadband division of PLDT Inc. in the Philippines, has selected Amdocs (NASDAQ: DOX) to modernize the core platform supporting its billing, customer care, and order management operations, according to a press release.
Under the agreement, Amdocs will update PLDT Home's existing technology stack with a cloud-ready architecture intended to improve resilience, scalability, security, and operational performance. The upgraded system is designed to enable faster payment processing, more efficient order handling, and increased automation across key business processes.
John Palanca, Senior Vice President and Head of Consumer Business at PLDT Home, said the modernization effort is aimed at simplifying business processes and building a cloud-ready foundation. Gilbert Gaw, First Vice President and Head of IT and Transformation Office at PLDT and Smart, said the new architecture is expected to enhance system availability and simplify platform operations.
Anthony Goonetilleke, Group President of Technology and Head of Strategy at Amdocs, said the project is focused on modernizing core billing and customer operations "with minimal disruption."
Amdocs reported revenue of $4.53 billion in fiscal year 2025 and is listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market.
