Home BancShares, Inc. (NYSE: HOMB), the parent company of Centennial Bank, reported second quarter 2026 net income of $119.3 million, or $0.59 per diluted share, according to a company press release. Total net revenue reached $295.1 million for the quarter, up 10.6% from $266.7 million in the prior quarter.
The company completed its acquisition of Mountain Commerce Bancorp, Inc. during the quarter, incurring $12.7 million in merger-related expenses. Excluding those costs and certain other items, adjusted net income reached $128.1 million, or $0.64 per diluted share, and adjusted pre-tax, pre-provision net income totaled $171.2 million.
Net interest income totaled $241.6 million, up from $223.9 million in the first quarter, while non-interest income rose to $53.5 million from $42.8 million. The net interest margin held steady at 4.51% for both the first and second quarters of 2026.
Total loans receivable grew to $17.13 billion at June 30, 2026, from $15.63 billion at March 31, 2026, largely reflecting the acquisition of $1.47 billion in loans from Mountain Commerce. Total deposits increased to $19.11 billion from $17.74 billion over the same period. Total assets stood at $24.71 billion at quarter end.
Non-performing assets totaled $228.6 million, or 0.93% of total assets, at June 30, 2026, compared with $224.1 million, or 0.97%, at March 31, 2026. The allowance for credit losses on loans was $328.4 million, or 1.92% of total loans.
Book value per common share rose to $22.68 from $22.15 in the prior quarter. Tangible book value per common share increased to $15.32 from $14.87. The common equity tier 1 capital ratio was 16.4% at June 30, 2026.
During the quarter, the company repurchased 1.5 million shares of common stock and paid a dividend of $0.21 per share. Return on average assets was 1.95%, while the adjusted return on average assets was 2.09%.
