Aug 21 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes opened higher on Friday after getting hammered in the previous session, though markets remained on track to end the week in the red as surging government bond yields and geopolitical tensions weighed on risk appetite.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 9.7 points, or 0.02%, at the open to 52768.87. The S&P 500 rose 24.5 points, or 0.32%, at the open to 7665.68, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 131.7 points, or 0.51%, to 26198.835 at the opening bell.
