Tesla taps Forum Mobility for California electric-truck charging stations

Sept 17 (Reuters) - Tesla ‌will operate ​public ​Megacharging sites at three new Forum Mobility electric-truck depots in California, the ‌trucking-solutions company said on Thursday, as it ⁠adds 30 megawatts of charging capacity for heavy ‌vehicles.

The new depots, which ‌span northern and southern California, will feature Tesla's Megawatt Charging System technology alongside CCS ​ports, with pull-through lanes designed to keep trucks moving, Forum Mobility said.

Here are some ⁠details:

• Tesla will operate public Megacharging sites at three of the ​new locations — FM Francis in Ontario and FM Adeline and FM Coliseum in ​Oakland, Forum said.

• It ‌said its Santa Fe site in Rancho Dominguez has commitments from fleet operators ⁠for more than 330 Tesla Semi trucks and it will also make the charging facility available ⁠to other commercial trucking customers.

• It added two MCS ​Megachargers to FM Harbor, its depot in the Port of Long Beach that has been operational since ‌December 2024, the company said.

• The charging expansion comes as Tesla prepares ‌to broaden the Semi's availability beyond North ⁠America, with a Europe ‌launch planned ​next year.
