Italy's Eni to cooperate with humanoid robotics company Generative Bionics

ROME, Sept ‌30 (Reuters) - Eni ​and ​Generative Bionics have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) ‌to explore the industrial applications of ⁠humanoid robotics, the Italian energy group ‌said in a statement ‌on Wednesday.

Areas covered by the collaboration include identifying potential use ​cases for the humanoid robots developed by Generative Bionics in ⁠Eni's industrial and operational environments, the company said.

• ​Generative Bionics is an Italian deep-tech company specialising in the ​development of humanoid ‌robots powered by Physical AI

• The MoU aims to ⁠assess how Generative Bionics' technologies can contribute to enhance Eni's safety ⁠standards and operational efficiency

• Another area of ​collaboration will be on humanoid robot components and materials involving Eni's chemicals unit ‌Versalis

• The agreement includes options to industrialise and commercialise ‌sensor-equipped footwear developed by Generative ⁠Bionics, leveraging ‌Eni’s materials, expertise ​and market channels
