GM's third-quarter US sales fall

Oct 1 (Reuters) - General Motors reported a drop in third-quarter US sales on Thursday, as high gasoline prices weigh on demand for new vehicles.
The company's overall quarterly sales fell 5.5% to 670,974 units, from 710,347 units a year earlier.
