Longeveron names Nirav Jhaveri as CFO

Longeveron Inc. (NASDAQ: LGVN) has appointed Nirav Jhaveri as chief financial officer, principal financial officer, and principal accounting officer, according to a company statement.

Jhaveri succeeds Marie Washburn, who had served as interim CFO following the retirement of the prior CFO. Washburn will return to her role as corporate controller.

Jhaveri holds more than 25 years of experience in capital markets, corporate finance, business development, and investor relations, including over 15 years in the biotech sector. He previously served as CFO at Opus Genetics (NASDAQ: IRD), Insilico Medicine (HKEX: 3696.HK), and Journey Medical Corporation (NASDAQ: DERM). Earlier in his career, he held roles in business development at Fortress Biotech, equity research at Citigroup, and investment banking at Bank of America. He is a CFA charterholder.

CEO Steven H. Willard said the company anticipates top-line results from its Phase 2b clinical trial evaluating laromestrocel as a potential treatment for hypoplastic left heart syndrome in September 2026.

Longeveron is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing cellular therapies across four indications: hypoplastic left heart syndrome, Alzheimer's disease, pediatric dilated cardiomyopathy, and aging-related frailty.
