ConnectM Technology Solutions, Inc. (OTCQX: CNTM) has formed a Strategic Advisory Board, appointing three members to guide its AI energy infrastructure business, according to a company press release.

The three appointees are Ashish Kulkarni, a current director of Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH) and former Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer of GAF; Neil Bhatia, founder of Catalyst Advisors and former senior executive at Fortress Investment Group and Shumway Capital Partners; and Jim McCabe, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Las Olas Capital.

The advisory board will focus on four areas: building the company's AI energy infrastructure business through data-center power, cooling and storage opportunities; strengthening positioning with institutional investors; developing strategic partnerships with equipment manufacturers, utilities and enterprise customers; and advising on profitability, capital allocation and potential acquisitions or divestitures.

ConnectM, headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts, develops and operates energy infrastructure through its Keen Labs platform, which distributes distributed energy equipment, AI-enabled controls and virtual power plant software. Its products include Hi-C hybrid energy storage systems designed for data-center generator starting and power transition.

The company cited International Energy Agency projections that electricity consumption from data centers will rise from approximately 415 terawatt-hours in 2024 to approximately 945 terawatt-hours in 2030 as context for the board's formation.

Bhaskar Panigrahi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ConnectM, said the three advisors were selected for specific areas of expertise. "Ashish has run technology and innovation for large industrial companies and sits on a public company board. Neil spent his career inside the kinds of institutions we want as long-term shareholders. Jim invests in AI data center infrastructure and sits on the advisory board of a Nasdaq-listed company building it."

McCabe, who also serves on the advisory board of Digi Power X (Nasdaq: DGXX), said power remains the primary constraint in AI computing build-out and that he expects to help ConnectM convert its existing infrastructure position into contracts and a broader institutional shareholder base.
