Amprius Technologies names Ricardo Rodriguez as CFO

Amprius Technologies Inc. (NYSE: AMPX) appointed Ricardo C. Rodriguez as chief financial officer, effective immediately, according to a company statement.



Rodriguez brings over 20 years of experience in finance, strategy and operations across automotive, mobility and technology sectors. He most recently served as CFO and treasurer of Aspen Aerogels Inc. (NYSE: ASPN), where he helped the company raise capital and expand operations as an electrification materials provider. He previously held the role of chief strategy officer at Aspen.



The appointment comes as part of a planned transition. Sandra Wallach, the company's previous CFO, is retiring and will provide short-term support during the transition period.



Rodriguez's career includes roles as corporate strategy director at Aptiv PLC (NYSE: APTV), where he launched the company's Vehicle Electrification Systems group. He also held senior positions at ClearMotion, GM's OnStar division, Amazon and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. He began his career in investment banking at Lazard, focusing on automotive mergers and acquisitions.

Rodriguez holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Institute/Kettering University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.



Amprius Technologies manufactures lithium-ion batteries and operates from its headquarters in Fremont, California, where it maintains a research facility and manufacturing operations for silicon anodes and battery cells.
