Mercer International Inc. Reports Strong 2014 Third Quarter Results
October 30, 2014 4:35 PM UTCNEW YORK, Oct. 30, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mercer International Inc. (Nasdaq: MERC) (TSX:MRI.U) today reported results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2014. Operating EBITDA* in the third quarter of 2014 increased to $67.6 million from $32.8 million in the third quarter of 2013 and $41.9 million in the prior quarter of 2014. For the third quarter of 2014, we had record net income of $88.3 million, or $1.38 per basic and $1.37 per diluted share, compared to net loss of $3.0 million, or $0.05 per basic and diluted share, in the third quarter of 2013.
