JPMorgan (JPM) Tops Q2 EPS by 16c; Basel III Coverage Improves

JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM) reported Q2 EPS of $1.60, topping analyst estimates calling for EPS of $1.44. Revenue for the quarter came in at $25.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $24.84 billion.
The bank said, Net income was $2.8 billion, up 19 percent compared with the prior year. These results primarily reflected higher net revenue, partially offset by higher noninterest expense. Net revenue was $9.9 billion, compared with $9.0 billion in the prior year. Net revenue included a $355 million gain from debit valuation adjustments (DVA) on structured notes and derivative...
