Alcoa (AA) Kicks-Off Q3 EPS Season With a 'Beat'; Shares Tick Higher
October 9, 2012 4:18 PM EDTAlcoa, Inc. (NYSE: AA) kicked-off third quarter earnings season with a modest beat on the top and bottom-line.
The aluminum producer reported revenues of $5.8 billion, despite a 17 percent decline in realized metal prices, versus $6.42 billion reported last year. Wall Street was looking for revenues in the quarter of $5.54 billion.
The company posted a loss from continuing operations of $143 million, or $0.13 per share.... More

Alcoa, Inc. (NYSE: AA) reported Q3 EPS of $0.03, versus the analyst estimate of $0.00. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.8 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.54 billion.
Operating loss was 13 cents/share.
