Chinese manufacturing shows resilience amid tariff headwinds
March 31, 2025 6:00 PM EDTChinas manufacturing sector continued to show strength in March, with the ING highlighting in a note Monday that the official manufacturing purchasing managers index (PMI) rose to 50.5, its highest level in a year.
The manufacturing PMI has remained in expansion territory for five of the past six months, ING noted, suggesting that tariffs implemented in early 2025 have not significantly impacted the sector so far.
