February 9, 2023 10:00 AM ESTAbbVie (NYSE: ABBV) shares are up more than 3% in early Thursday trading after the company topped earnings estimates for the fourth quarter.
Earnings came in at $3.60 per share, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of $3.53. However, the biotech firm missed the analyst consensus revenue forecast of $15.33 billion, coming in at $15.12 billion.
The company's results included an unfavorable impact of $0.13 per share related to the fourth-quarter 2022 acquired IPR&D and milestones expense.
