WEBSTER REPORTS FOURTH QUARTER 2021 EARNINGS OF $1.20 PER DILUTED SHARE
January 20, 2022 7:30 AM ESTWATERBURY, Conn., Jan. 20, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Webster Financial Corporation (NYSE: WBS), the holding company for Webster Bank, N.A. and its HSA Bank division, today announced earnings applicable to common shareholders of $108.4 million, or $1.20 per diluted share, for the quarter ended December 31, 2021, compared to $57.7 million, or $0.64 per diluted share, for the quarter ended December 31, 2020. Earnings per diluted share would have been $1.31 for the quarter ended December 31, 2021, adjusting for a net $13.7 million ($10.1 million after tax) of merger related, strategic optimization, and debt prepayment expenses.
