Amazon (AMZN) Stock Plunges on a Big EPS Miss and Weak Guidance, Analysts Lower PTs but Remain Positive on Accelerating AWS Sales Growth
October 29, 2021 4:54 AM UTCShares of Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) are down 4.8% in pre-open Friday after the company reported lower-than-expected Q3 results.
Amazon reported Q3 EPS of $6.12, which is much lower than the analyst estimate of $8.92. Revenue for the quarter came in at $110.8 billion versus the consensus estimate of $111.6 billion.
Operating cash flow fell 1% while free cash flow decreased to $2.6 billion. AWS experienced an acceleration of 39% year over year.
