Unum Group announces $250 million share repurchase authorization
October 25, 2021 4:47 PM EDTCHATTANOOGA, Tenn., Oct. 25, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Unum Group (NYSE: UNM) today announced that its board of directors has authorized the repurchase of up to $250Â million of the company's outstanding common stock through Dec. 31, 2022.
The timing and amount of share repurchases under the authorization, which may be made through open market purchases (including pursuant to Rule 10b5-1 trading plans), privately negotiated transactions (including accelerated share repurchase transactions), or other means, will be determined by management based on market conditions and other considerations.
