The Walt Disney Company Reports Third Quarter and Nine Months Earnings for Fiscal 2021
August 12, 2021 4:05 PM EDTBURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) today reported earnings for its third fiscal quarter ended July 3, 2021. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) from continuing operations for the quarter was income of $0.50 compared to a loss of $2.61 in the prior-year quarter. Excluding certain items(1), diluted EPS for the quarter increased to $0.80 from $0.08 in the prior-year quarter. Diluted EPS from continuing operations for the nine months ended July 3, 2021 increased to income of $1.02 compared to a loss of $1.17 in the prior-year period.
