MetLife Announces Second Quarter 2021 Results
August 4, 2021 4:15 PM EDTNEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) today announced its second quarter 2021 results.
Second Quarter Results Summary
Net income of $3.4 billion, or $3.83 per share, compared to net income of $68 million, or $0.07 per share, in the second quarter of 2020. Adjusted earnings of $2.1 billion, or $2.37 per share, compared to adjusted earnings of $758 million, or $0.83 per share, in the second quarter of 2020.
