Cincinnati Financial Reports First-Quarter 2021 Results

First-quarter 2021 net income of $620 million, or $3.82 per share, compared with a net loss of $1.226 billion, or $7.56 per share, in the first quarter of 2020, after recognizing a $385 million first-quarter 2021 after-tax increase in the fair value of equity securities still held. $85 million or 62% increase in non-GAAP operating income* to $222 million, or $1.37 per share, compared with $137 million, or 84 cents per share, in the first quarter of last year. $1.846 billion increase in first-quarter 2021 net income,...
