AvalonBay Communities, Inc. Announces Third Quarter 2020 Operating Results
October 28, 2020 4:15 PM EDTARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AvalonBay Communities, Inc. (NYSE: AVB) (the Company) reported today that Net Income Attributable to Common Stockholders for the three months ended September 30, 2020 was $147,703,000. This resulted in a decrease in Earnings per Share diluted (EPS) for the three months ended September 30, 2020 of 47.5% to $1.05 from $2.00 for the prior year period, primarily attributable to a decrease in gain on sale of real estate, an increase in depreciation expense and other items as detailed in the table below.
