Universal Corporation Reports First Quarter Results
August 5, 2020 4:44 PM EDTRICHMOND, Va., Aug. 5, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- George C. Freeman, III, Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Corporation (NYSE: UVV), reported net income of $7.3 million, or $0.29 per diluted share, for the first quarter of fiscal year 2021, which ended on June 30, 2020. Those results were up $5.2 million compared with net income of $2.1 million, or $0.08 per diluted share, for the first quarter of fiscal year 2020.
