Kemper Reports Strong Second Quarter 2020 Operating Results
August 3, 2020 4:05 PM EDTCHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kemper Corporation (NYSE: KMPR) reported net income of $126.1 million, or $1.91 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2020, compared to $122.1 million, or $1.84 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2019. In the second quarter of 2020, net income included a $56.6 million after-tax gain, or $0.86 per diluted share, attributable to the change in fair value of equity and convertible securities.
