(Nasdaq: MRNA), a clinical stage biotechnology company pioneering messenger RNA (mRNA) therapeutics and vaccines to create a new generation of transformative medicines for patients, today announced the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 17,600,000 shares of common stock at a public offering price of $76.00 per share, before underwriting discounts and commissions. In addition, Moderna has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 2,640,000 shares of common stock at the public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions. Moderna Announces Proposed Public Offering of Shares of Common Stock
May 18, 2020 4:18 PM EDTCAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Moderna, Inc. (Nasdaq: MRNA), a clinical stage biotechnology company pioneering messenger RNA (mRNA) therapeutics and vaccines to create a new generation of transformative medicines for patients, today announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of $1.25 billion in shares of common stock. In addition, Moderna expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional $187.5 million in shares of common stock in connection with the public offering.
