Eastman Chemical (EMN) Misses Q3 EPS by 4c, Revenues Miss; Offers FY19 EPS Guidance Below Consensus
October 24, 2019 5:37 PM EDTEastman Chemical (NYSE: EMN) reported Q3 EPS of $1.94, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.98. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.325 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.36 billion.
In the third quarter, global economic conditions worsened as uncertainty related to trade issues escalated and impacted consumer discretionary markets such as transportation and consumer durables, which was somewhat offset by our innovation and market development efforts, said Mark Costa, Board Chair and CEO.
