Newpark Resources (NR) Misses Q2 EPS by 1c
July 30, 2019 4:46 PM EDTNewpark Resources (NYSE: NR) reported Q2 EPS of $0.05, $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenue for the quarter came in at $216.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $216.69 million.
Paul Howes, Newpark's President and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "Despite continued softness in the U.S. oil and gas market and the impact of Spring break-up in Canada, we are pleased to report that our global Fluids Systems revenues increased by 7% sequentially, to $173 million. U.S. Fluids revenues improved 14% sequentially, to $117 million, primarily driven by a $9 million revenue increase from the deepwater Gulf of Mexico,... More
