Vera Bradley (VRA) Reports In-Line Q1 EPS, Revenues Beat, Comp Sales Up 5.2%; FY20 EPS/Revenue Mid-Point Guidance Above Consensus, Offers Q2 EPS/Revenue Outlook
June 5, 2019 8:06 AM EDTVera Bradley (NASDAQ: VRA) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.07), in-line with the analyst estimate of ($0.07). Revenue for the quarter came in at $91 million versus the consensus estimate of $87.95 million.
Robert Wallstrom, Chief Executive Officer, said, We are pleased with our 5.2% first quarter comparable sales increase and that revenues were once again at the high end of our guidance, indicating that our customers are responding to both our innovative product and targeted consumer engagement efforts.
