(NYSE: THG) today reported net income of $122.4 million, or $2.97 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2019, compared to $67.7 million, or $1.57 per diluted share, in the prior-year quarter. Operating income(1) was $80.7 million, or $1.96 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2019. This compared to operating income of $66.1 million, or $1.54 per diluted share, in the prior-year quarter.
