Service Corp (SCI) Tops Q1 EPS by 6c, Revenues Beat; Offers FY19 EPS Guidance
April 24, 2019 4:18 PM EDTService Corp (NYSE: SCI) reported Q1 EPS of $0.47, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.41. Revenue for the quarter came in at $798.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $791.84 million.
Diluted earnings per share were $0.43 in the first quarter of 2019 compared to $0.43 in the first quarter of 2018. The first quarter of 2019 was impacted by $8.0 million in unusual legal expenses and the first quarter of 2018 was negatively impacted by a $10.1 million loss on early extinguishment of debt.
