Washington Trust Reports Record Full-Year 2018 Earnings and Reaches $5 Billion in Assets
January 28, 2019 4:06 PM ESTWESTERLY, R.I., Jan. 28, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Washington Trust Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq: WASH), parent company of The Washington Trust Company, today announced fourth quarter 2018 net income of $17.0 million, or $0.98 per diluted share, compared to net income of $17.5 million, or $1.01 per diluted share, reported for the third quarter of 2018. Net income for the year ended December 31, 2018 totaled $68.4 million, or $3.93 per diluted share, compared to $45.9 million, or $2.64 per diluted share, reported for the prior year. Earnings in 2017 were reduced by a non-cash charge to write down net deferred tax assets by $6.2 million,...
