AutoZone 4th Quarter Same Store Sales Increase 2.2%; 4th Quarter EPS Decreases 1.6% to $15.02; 4th Quarter Adjusted EPS Increases 21.4% to $18.54; Annual Sales Surpass $11 Billion
September 18, 2018 6:57 AM EDTMEMPHIS, Tenn., Sept. 18, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AutoZone, Inc. (NYSE: AZO) today reported net sales of $3.6 billion for its fourth quarter (16 weeks) ended August 25, 2018, an increase of 1.3% from the fourth quarter of fiscal 2017 (16 weeks). Â Domestic same store sales, or sales for stores open at least one year, increased 2.2% for the quarter.
Net income for the quarter decreased 7.7% over the same period last year to $400.3 million, while diluted earnings per share decreased 1.6% to $15.02 per share from $15.27 per share in the year-ago quarter.
