CNA Financial Announces Second Quarter 2018 Results
July 30, 2018 6:01 AM EDTCHICAGO, July 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- CNA Financial Corporation (NYSE: CNA) today announced second quarter 2018 net income and core income of $270 million, or $0.99 per share. Property & Casualty Operations combined ratio for the second quarter was 93.8% compared with 93.5% in the second quarter of 2017. Property & Casualty Operations net written premiums grew 4% compared to the prior year quarter. Net investment income, after tax, was $416 million for the second quarter of 2018.
Net income for the six months ended June 30, 2018 was $561 million, or $2.06 per share, and core income was $551 million, or $2.02 per share, both improved from the prior... More
