Trinity Industries (TRN) Tops Q2 EPS by 11c, Miss on Revenues; Boosts FY18 EPS Outlook
July 25, 2018 4:20 PM EDTTrinity Industries (NYSE: TRN) reported Q2 EPS of $0.48, $0.11 better than the analyst estimate of $0.37. Revenue for the quarter came in at $942.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $983.67 million.
Trinitys consolidated second quarter financial results exceeded our expectations due to better operational performance, said Timothy R. Wallace, Trinitys Chairman, CEO and President. Overall market fundamentals continue to improve. The level of orders received by our railcar and inland barge manufacturing businesses during the second quarter reflects growing momentum in respect to demand for our products.
