Great Plains Energy Reports Full-Year 2017 Results

KANSAS CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Great Plains Energy (NYSE: GXP) today announced a fourth quarter 2017 loss of $100.1 million or $0.46 per share of average common stock outstanding, compared with fourth quarter 2016 earnings of $83.2 million or $0.39 per share. Great Plains Energy also announced a full-year 2017 loss of $143.5 million or $0.67 per share, compared to earnings of $273.5 million or $1.61 per share in 2016.
