Huntington Bancshares Incorporated Reports Record Quarterly and Annual Earnings
January 23, 2018 7:30 AM ESTCOLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Huntington Bancshares Incorporated (NASDAQ: HBAN; www.huntington.com) reported 2017 full-year net income of $1.2 billion, an increase of 67% from the prior year. Earnings per common share for the year were $1.00, up 43% from the prior year. Excluding approximately $152 million pretax of FirstMerit acquisition-related expenses, or $0.09 per common share after tax, and an estimated tax benefit of $123 million, or $0.11 per common share, related to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act ("federal tax reform") enacted in the fourth quarter, adjusted earnings per common share were...
