Facebook (FB) Falls as Zuckerberg Announces Changes to News Feed to Focus on Friends, Not News
January 12, 2018 5:57 AM ESTFacebook (NASDAQ: FB) shares are down 2.6% in early trading after CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced sweeping changes to news feed to emphasize friends, not news. He said by making these changes, he expects the time people spend on Facebook and some measures of engagement will go down.
In a Facebook post, Zuckerberg said:
One of our big focus areas for 2018 is making sure the time we all spend on Facebook is time well spent.
