Commercial Metals Company Reports First Quarter Fiscal 2018 Earnings Per Share Of $0.31
January 3, 2018 6:45 AM ESTIRVING, Texas, Jan. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Commercial Metals Company (NYSE: CMC) today announced financial results for its first quarter ended November 30, 2017. Net earnings for the first quarter of fiscal 2018 were $36.8 million ($0.31 per diluted share) on net sales of $1.2 billion. This compares to net earnings of $6.3 million ($0.05 per diluted share) on net sales of $1.0 billion for the first quarter of fiscal 2017. Earnings from continuing operations were $38.5 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2018, compared to $4.9 million for the same period of the prior fiscal year.  For the three months ended November 30, 2017, earnings from...
