Cullen/Frost Reports Third Quarter Results
October 26, 2017 9:00 AM EDTSAN ANTONIO, Oct. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Cullen/Frost Bankers, Inc. (NYSE: CFR) today reported third quarter 2017 results. The company's net income available to common shareholders for the third quarter of 2017 was $91.1 million, compared to $78.2 million in the third quarter of 2016, an increase of 16.5 percent. On a per-share basis, net income was $1.41 per diluted common share, compared to $1.24 per diluted common share reported a year earlier. Returns on average assets and average common equity were 1.19 percent and 11.71 percent, respectively, compared to 1.07 percent and 10.31 percent, respectively, for the same period a year earlier.
