Morningstar, Inc. Reports Second-Quarter 2017 Financial Results
July 25, 2017 4:05 PM EDTCHICAGO, July 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --Â Morningstar, Inc. (NASDAQ: MORN), a leading provider of independent investment research, today announced its second-quarter 2017 financial results. The company reported net income of $46.1 million, or $1.07 per diluted share, compared with $31.8 million, or 73 cents per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2016. Net income for the quarter includes a noncash after-tax gain of $18.0 million, or 42 cents per share, in connection with the company's previously announced sale of HelloWallet, an online financial wellness business.
