Centene Corporation Reports 2017 Second Quarter Results & Raises 2017 Guidance
July 25, 2017 6:00 AM EDTST. LOUIS, July 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) announced today its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2017, reporting diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.44, and Adjusted Diluted EPS of $1.59. The second quarter of 2017 includes a $0.17 per diluted share net benefit related to the reconciliation of the 2016 risk adjustment under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in connection with our Health Insurance Marketplace business. In addition, strong 2017 Marketplace performance exceeded our expectations in the second quarter by $0.12 diluted earnings per share.
