Synchrony Financial Reports Second Quarter Net Earnings of $496 Million or $0.61 Per Diluted Share
July 21, 2017 6:30 AM EDTSTAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Synchrony Financial (NYSE: SYF) today announced second quarter 2017 net earnings of $496 million, or $0.61 per diluted share. Highlights for the quarter included:
Net interest income increased 13% from the second quarter of 2016 to $3.6 billion Loan receivables grew $7 billion, or 11%, from the second quarter of 2016 to $75 billion Purchase volume increased 6% from the second quarter of 2016 Strong deposit growth continued, up $6 billion, or 14%, over the second quarter of 2016 Signed a new partnership with zulily...
