(NYSE: THG) today reported net income of $45.2 million, or $1.05 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2017, compared to $78.2 million, or $1.80 per diluted share, in the prior-year quarter. Operating income was $40.8 million, or $0.95 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2017, compared to $71.5 million, or $1.64 per diluted share, in the prior-year quarter.Â
