Kate Spade & Company Reports First Quarter 2017 Results
April 18, 2017 8:00 AM EDTNEW YORK, April 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Kate Spade & Company (NYSE: KATE) today announced results for the first quarter ended April 1, 2017.
Net sales for the first quarter of 2017 were $271 million, a decrease of $3 million, or 1.2%, compared to the first quarter of 2016. For the first quarter of 2017 on a GAAP basis, the Company recorded income from continuing operations of $1 million, or $0.01 per diluted share, including $7 million of pretax store impairment charges and $2 million of pretax fees and expenses related to the Company's ongoing review of strategic alternatives.
