The TJX Companies, Inc. Reports Q3FY17 Results with Comp Sales up a Strong 5% Over Last Year’s 5% Increase

Net sales increased a strong 7% to $8.3 billion over last years 5% increase GAAP diluted EPS of $.83 compared with $.86 in the prior year Adjusted diluted EPS of $.91, which excludes the negative impact of $.08 from a debt extinguishment charge and a pension settlement charge, compared with $.86 in the prior year The Company now estimates Fiscal 2017 diluted GAAP EPS of $3.39 to $3.41 and adjusted EPS of $3.46 to $3.48 (which excludes the debt extinguishment and pension settlement charges), versus prior guidance of $3.39 to $3.43, reflecting the Companys strong third quarter results...
