CenterPoint Energy reports third quarter 2016 earnings of $0.41 per diluted share and updates full year guidance to $1.16 - $1.20
November 4, 2016 6:30 AM EDTHOUSTON, Nov. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CenterPoint Energy, Inc. (NYSE: CNP) today reported net income of $179 million, or $0.41 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2016, compared with a $391 million loss or a loss of $0.91 per diluted share for the same period of the prior year. The third quarter 2015 loss included pre-tax impairment charges totaling $862 million related to midstream investments. Excluding the impairment charges, third quarter 2015 net income would have been $146 million or $0.34 per diluted share.
