Anthem Reports Third Quarter 2016 Results
November 2, 2016 6:00 AM EDTNet income was $2.30 per share, including net negative adjustment items of $0.15 per share. Adjusted net income was $2.45 per share (refer to the GAAP reconciliation table). Medical enrollment has increased by approximately 1.3 million members in 2016, or 3.4 percent, totaling approximately 39.9 million members as of September 30, 2016. Company now expects medical enrollment to grow by 1.05 - 1.25 million members for full year 2016. Full year 2016 GAAP net income is expected to be approximately $9.28.
