Southern Company reports third quarter earnings
October 31, 2016 7:10 AM EDTATLANTA, Oct. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern Company today reported third quarter 2016 earnings of $1.1 billion, or $1.18 per share, compared with earnings of $1.0 billion, or $1.05 per share, in the third quarter of 2015. For the nine months ended September 30, 2016, earnings were $2.2 billion, or $2.39 per share, compared with $2.1 billion, or $2.30 per share, for the same period in 2015.
